Hello, first and foremost we want to say thank  you so very much for taking the time to consider us, it means the world to us.

We are Jessica and Luke. We have been fortunate enough to have started our family through adoption in June of 2020, with our daughter Ariana, and it’s been a dream come true. We always knew from the start that we wanted to have 2 children. Both of us having had strong relationships with siblings growing up we felt that was something we wanted to give to our children as well.

23 years ago we fell in love. We were neighbors, and very quickly became the best of friends, and have been inseparable since. We have been through many things in the last two decades together and we are still very much in  love, and truly believe that our love will endure anything.

We are both very entrepreneurial and  hardworking people. We are proud owners of a pest control company that has been very successful for us for the past 14 years. We love that we have flexibility with our work. That allows us to be able to take the time we need for family or to travel, which are things that are very important to us.

Our Home

We live in Southern California in the cute little beach town of Oceanside. We live very close to the beach, 2 blocks away from several parks with playgrounds and one of them even has a lagoon where we go to feed the ducks! We have several friends and family that live in walking distance of our home. You will often find us all walking or riding our bikes over to say hello, BBQ, have a game night or movie night together (in the summer movie night is outside in the yard on a big huge screen!). So fun! We love our  neighborhood, it has such a comforting sense of community and family. The Zoo and the Safari Park are both in close proximity as well as miniature golf, Bate’s nut farm, Balboa Park, and the Children’s museum. 

We love doing this stuff with Ari and  can’t wait until a second child can join in on the fun!  Of course Disneyland is only a couple hours away as well as Big Bear where we love to go camping, hiking, boating and kayaking in the summer or in the winter snow sledding, skiing, or building a snowman!!

What adoption means to us:

The thought of adoption has always been close to our hearts as we have many family members that are adopted, some from the Ukraine and some Domestically. Jess battled with endometriosis for many years and ultimately was forced to have a hysterectomy, at first we were saddened that we wouldn’t get to experience parenting from our love and through pregnancy, but we soon realized that the most exciting parts of parenthood  that we were looking forward to had everything to do with what came after the baby was born, becoming a family!.... and so the decision to adopt then became a very easy decision for us and now that we have become adoptive parents we couldn’t be happier!

We have so much love to offer our  children and we are so thankful that we will get to make the world a better place by raising our kids to be smart, thoughtful, confident, caring, independent, worldly, loving Individuals.

Our Family:

Our whole family is just about as excited as we are! Family is very important to both of us. Not only are we very grateful that the two of us have such an amazing support system backing us, but your child will have that too! Not to mention lots of cousins (some adopted) tons of aunts and uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents too! We look forward to this next chapter in our lives as our family grows.

Jess says about Luke:

Being the oldest of 11 siblings I think Luke became very paternal at a young age. He is a very good listener and immediately sets people at ease. Luke has a great ability to help people through difficult times, he has a true gift at being a great listener, he really takes everything in and then seems to ask the perfect questions to help you find your own  way through things. Luke believes in being true to one’s self. He believes laughter eases suffering and helps with healing, and has a beautiful gift of being a genuine comedian.

Luke has a rare combination of a quick wit, a savvy business mind, an ability to remain calm, and a strong work ethic. He loves providing for his family, traveling and discovering new places. He loves a cruise down the coast on his motorcycle or mountain biking with friends. He has a very close relationship with his father and also with his mother until her passing. He is always reading and believes it is important to constantly be growing and learning new things. He is my favorite person in the whole world and I feel blessed everyday I get to come home to him.

Luke says about Jess:

I think of Jessica’s strongest gift as being maternal. Being an older sibling she was always very motherly with her younger sister. Jess is a very sweet and intuitive soul. She sees things that people need, often before they do. She loves to be there for them, whether that’s with a smile, a hug, being someone to talk to, a friend that would help you with the favors that no one else will, or  being there to hold your hand. She is the most loyal person i have ever met and if you ever talk to anyone that has worked with her, they will frequently refer to her as, sweet Jess or mama Jess.

Some of the things she excels at are working with children and with the elderly, she loves cooking for friends and family, traveling, being out in nature. She loves doing little things to brighten someone’s day. She still leaves me sweet little love notes after all this time, and she loves delivering flowers to friends and family just to see them smile and make them feel loved. She is gifted at decorating and making a house a home and I am always happy to come home to her.Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us. We look forward to hearing from you! 

Our promise to your child:

We promise to love you unconditionally. We promise that you will grow up in a home filled with love, laughter, affection, spontaneous dancing in the living room, game nights, movie nights, road trips, camping, BBQ’s with friends and family, fun filled holidays and every birthday will be a celebration. We promise to read you bedtime stories and build forts. We promise to guide you when you need it and be there for support when you need encouragement. We want you to know how much we love you and despite moments when we may fall short, we will always be working on ourselves to become the best versions we can be. We will teach you how to love and respect others and how to be proud of who you are, and in times when you might make mistakes or wrong choices you will never have to doubt our love because our love can never have to be earned or bought. We promise to give you everything you need, not necessarily everything you want, but everything you need. We promise to laugh with you and cry with you. We will be thankful to you, our son or daughter for teaching us to learn in these moments that will shape our character, even though it may be uncomfortable and difficult at times. We have no doubt that this experience as your parents will turn us into something beautiful, we will be a family, all of us together like a big colorful patchwork quilt.
